Geocaching
What is Geocaching you may well ask! In basic terms individuals set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches.
Caches vary in size from small film canisters to large ammunition boxes or tupperwear containers. The larger caches contain various contents and these contents change over time as visitors exchange gifts and toys.
What gives the game an added dimension is the ability to buy trackable items such as travel bug 'dog tags' or Geocoins. If you have a travel bug or Geocoin you will be updated every time it changes location and often, if your travel bug is attached to a soft toy, you will receive photographs as it travels the world.
We have our very own travel bug called Heathrow Bear and you can follow his travels each month in our newsletter.

If you want to try Geocaching let us know. We sometimes incorporate the game into our trips and we can certainly give you advise should you want to play the game yourself.
